2024 Omega Watch Releases
2024 has been a busy year for Omega; the Swiss watchmaker has added new models to each of its main collections: Speedmaster, Seamaster, De Ville, and Constellation. Also, 2024 is the year of the Paris Summer Olympics, and since Omega has been the Official Timekeeper of the Games for decades, it comes as no surprise that there are some commemorative Olympic watches on offer. Let’s have a closer look at all the 2024 Omega watch releases, which include a wide spectrum of styles ranging from dressy to casual to sporty.
2024 Omega Speedmaster Releases
Omega made some major Speedmaster releases in 2024 including the return of the first Omega model to venture out into space and a white version of the famed Moonwatch.
First Omega in Space Returns
For 2024, the Speedmaster CK 2998, better known as the First Omega in Space (FOiS), returns to the catalog, complete with some mechanical and aesthetic updates. The watch picked up the nickname after astronaut Walter “Wally” Schirra wore his personal Speedmaster CK 2998 during the Sigma 7 mission of the Mercury program in 1962.
The updated model follows a similar design blueprint of the original; there’s the symmetrical 39.70mm polished and brushed stainless steel case, a black aluminum bezel with a “Dot Over Ninety” tachymeter scale, and the tri-compax chronograph dial layout. However, while the crystal is made to look like Hesalite to mimic early Speedmaster models it is in fact fashioned from modern sapphire crystal. Furthermore, the CVD-coated dial in a grey-blue color evokes the tone of some CK 2998 watches produced in the 1960s.
Beneath the solid steel caseback decorated with the Seahorse medallion is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 3861, the latest evolution the Caliber 321 that powered the original Speedmaster models.

Speedmaster Moonwatch Lacquered White Dial
The Speedmaster Moonwatch is by far Omega’s most popular model. In recent years, Omega has expanded the line beyond the traditional steel case and black dial and bezel combination to include precious metals and other colors. In 2024, the brand released the Speedmaster Professional with a white lacquered dial — a first for a regular-production (aka non-limited edition) steel Moonwatch. According to the company, the white was inspired by astronaut suits and the famed Alaska 1 Prototype.
Omega fans will be happy to note that many of the features that make the Moonwatch a Moonwatch remain: the classic asymmetrical 42mm case in stainless steel, the Dot Over 90″ black aluminum bezel, and a manual-winding chronograph movement. Available with a stainless steel bracelet, black rubber strap decorated with a lunar surface pattern, or perforated leather strap, the white dialed Speedy Moonwatch is a handsome addition to Omega’s flagship chronograph collection.

Speedmaster Moonwatch Bi-Colour
Officially called the Speedmaster Moonwatch Bi-Color but better known as the two-tone Omega Speedmaster, a pair of models featuring a mix of steel and gold were added to the Speedmaster Professional line in 2024. One version combines steel with Moonshine gold whereas the other marries steel and Sedna gold.
Both versions include black ceramic bezels and matching two-tone bracelets but each has different dials. The Sedna gold edition houses a coordinating Sedna gold dial with black registers and the Moonshine gold version includes a silvery dial with Moonshine subdials —the former is decidedly more modern in style while the latter is much more classic.

Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon Apollo 8
In 2024, Omega unveiled a new-gen version of its popular Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon Apollo 8 chronograph with a revamped design and new movement. The most notable update is the Caliber 3869 manual-winding movement, which not only benefits from certifications from both METAS and COSC but is also laser engraved to mimic the Moon’s surface. That engraving is visible from the skeletonized dial, home to a Saturn rocket-shaped running seconds hand inside the subdial at 9 o’clock.
Housing the dial and Omega movement is a 44.25mm black ceramic case, topped with a coordinating black ceramic bezel engraved with a tachymeter scale. The watch is paired with a black perforated rubber strap decorated with yellow stitching to match the yellow details on the dial.

Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris 2024
Omega Olympic watches have long been a part of the watchmaker’s lineup and some of the newest ones are the Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris 2024 models, released to mark the 100-day countdown to the Summer Games in the French capital. Four models are available, two in steel and two in Moonshine gold, two with bracelets and two with leather straps, all equipped with silvery white opaline dials punctuated with black subdials and gold hands and numerals.
As is customary for the vintage-inspired Chronoscope, the watches include three scales: a tachymeter scale, a pulsometer scale, and a telemeter scale, spread across the bezel and dial. In honor of the 2024 Games, the caseback of these commemorative Speedmaster Chronoscope models is stamped with a medallion crafted with a frosted base featuring a mirror-polished Paris 2024 logo, along with the stamped words, “Paris 2024” and the Olympic Rings.

Diamond Speedmaster 38
Eight new variants joined the ladies’ Speedmaster 38 collection in 2024, all flaunting bezels set with 52 diamonds, diamond-paved subdial rings, and a crown set with a single diamond. The 2024 Speedmaster 38 models are available in stainless steel, Moonshine gold, and Sedna gold along with a choice of bracelets and straps and PVD dials in brown or green.
Similar to other Speedmaster 38 chronographs, these sparkly variants feature oval-shaped subdials, inspired by vintage De Ville watches. There’s also an oval date aperture tucked into the subdial at 6 o’clock.

Omega 2024 Seamaster Releases
A number of new models were added to the Omega Seamaster collection in 2024, including a few dedicated to the America’s Cup sailing event and the Olympics.
Seamaster Regatta America’s Cup
Given that the America’s Cup is one of the several sporting events Omega supports, it is no surprise that the brand offers sailing-ready watches dedicated to the prestigious race. For 2024, the Seamaster Regatta multi-functional watch joins the catalog to mark the 37th America’s Cup.
Sporting a large 46.75mm titanium case topped with a blue ceramic bezel ring, and part of the Instruments family (the same home to the ana-digi Speedmaster X33), the Seamaster Regatta was built as a sailor’s instrument watch with both analog and digital displays. According to the brand, it’s “easy to see,” “easy to operate,” and “easy to hear,” meaning the quartz-powered watch would prove to be a more practical solution than any mechanical yachting watch. Some of the functions include a moonphase indicator, chronograph, sailing logbook, temperature gauge, accelerometer, three alarms, and of course, a regatta race function.
Powering the watch is Caliber 5701, the company’s brand new multifunctional quartz movement with a thermo-compensated integrated circuit for improved accuracy, an inertial sensor unit, a brightness sensor, and a new LCD display function.

Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup
Another 2024 Omega release dedicated to the America’s Cup is a commemorative Seamaster Diver 300, which retains the model’s signature design details but also includes some nods to the sailing event. The 42mm steel case features a blue ceramic bezel with a regatta scale including two 5-minute pre-start sections and houses a wave-patterned white ceramic matte-finish dial
The counterweight of the seconds hand is the America’s cup trophy, rendered in the same blue as the Barcelona logo. The sapphire caseback also includes the Auld Mug symbol, accompanied by “B” for Barcelona. Beneath the caseback is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8806 automatic movement. Omega offers the 2024 Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup with either a stainless steel bracelet or a blue rubber strap.

Seamaster Planet Ocean Boutique Editions
Omega quietly released six boutique editions of its Planet Ocean watches in 2024 including three standard models and three chronographs, each available in sandy beige, green, and gray colorways. In addition to the cool new shades, complete with color-matched rubber straps, there are a few notable differences between these boutique editions and the regular production models. For instance, the cases are devoid of polishing — all surfaces are brushed, even the edges. Furthermore, the ceramic bezels are brushed too rather than the usual high-gloss finish.
The other specs remain the same, which is to say bulky cases that are water resistant to 600 meters, unidirectional dive bezels, and helium escape valves. The three-hand Planet Ocean measures an imposing 43.5mm and 16.2mm thick, whereas the Planet Ocean Chronograph is even bigger, clocking in at 45.5mm in diameter and 19mm thick.

Seamaster Aqua Terra Green
Green watches are one of 2024’s hottest trends with plenty of watch brands joining in on the color party. Take for instance Omega’s introduction of a pair of green Aqua Terra watches in the 38mm size. Green isn’t new to the collection but this particular shade —introduced in the Aqua Terra 41 in 2020— is the first time we’ve seen it in the midsize Aqua Terra 38.
The dial has a green PVD coating that combines a sunray-brushed finish with the classic horizontal teak motif. The date window at 6 o’clock is color-matched while the rhodium hands and hour markers are filled with lume for in-the-dark legibility. Omega offers the green-dialed steel Aqua Terra 38 with the choice of a green rubber strap or stainless steel three-link bracelet.

Seamaster Aqua Terra “Mondo”
World-recording-breaking Swedish pole vaulter (and an OMEGA ambassador since 2020) Armand “Mondo” Duplantis gets an Omega watch named after him in the form of a blue and yellow Seamaster Aqua Terra in steel with a rubber strap.
The new colorway was selected to represent Mondo’s flag while the shape of the yellow second-hand drew inspiration from a pole vault, complete with a lumed tip to echo the pole’s grip. Other than the aesthetic tweaks, the Aqua Terra “Mondo” retains its customary 41mm case, teak patterned dial with a date window, and automatic Omega Master Chronometer movement.

Aqua Terra Black
Omega added a trio of new Aqua Terra models, furnished with glossy black dials enriched with a slick lacquered finish to the range in 2024. Those familiar with the collection will notice that the customary horizontal teak pattern on the dial is replaced with the black varnished finish, adding a touch of dressiness to the GADA watch.
The formal dials are found on the Aqua Terra 41, 38, and 34 models, with slight layout deviations on the smallest version; but all, as is the norm for the AT, feature three hands at the center and a date window.

Omega 2024 Constellation Releases
The Constellation collection welcomed 20 new models in 2024, all furnished with meteorite dials taken from the Muonionalusta meteorite, possibly the oldest known meteorite on Earth.
Constellation Meteorite
Along with these unique space-rock dials, Omega also employed cutting-edge color treatment tech to offer various shades including purple, blue, green, and gold.
Four sizes of the Constellation, 41mm, 29mm, 28mm, and 25mm, are now available with these meteorite dials, including some dressed in diamonds. The two larger versions are automatic whereas quartz movements power the smaller two.

In 2024, a pair of two-tone De Ville Prestige 42 models is thrown into the mix.
In terms of colors and metals, these look almost identical to a pair of already-existing 41mm De Ville Prestige watches; however, these newer versions have a slightly larger case and a date ring on the dial, complete with a moon-tipped pointer hand.

Specialities Paris 2024 Bronze Gold
Omega unveiled the Specialities Paris 2024 Bronze Gold Edition watch just ahead of the Games. The 39mm case is crafted from Omega’s proprietary Bronze Gold, an alloy that includes 37.5% gold along with some palladium and silver, giving it a soft pink hue and enhanced corrosion resistance. The dial is made from sterling silver, featuring a “Clous de Paris” pattern that connects to the design of the Olympic medals, which incorporate a piece of the Eiffel Tower. The watch’s hands are fashioned from 18K Sedna Gold with a PVD Bronze Gold coating, adding to its luxurious aesthetic.
This special edition watch draws inspiration from a vintage Omega model from 1939, which was known for its precision timekeeping during the Olympics. The case back showcases a commemorative Paris 2024 medallion and the engraving “BG 859,” referencing both the bronze gold material and the original model’s reference number. Inside is the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 8926, ensuring high precision, complemented by a brown calf-skin leather strap with a sandblasted Bronze Gold buckle. Priced at $12,000, it embodies Omega’s rich history as the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games.

Omega 2024 Releases: In Conclusion
As expected, the lineup of 2024 Omega releases is expansive. The company makes it a habit of continuously growing its already considerable catalog with additional variants. The sheer volume of fresh iterations of both fan favorites and lesser-known models is impressive.
I do think that Omega’s lineup can be quite confusing for some, especially when considering all the commemorative models, limited editions, and special variants —not to mention regular production watches — within the four main collections (Speedmaster, Seamaster, De Ville, and Constellation) and countless sub-collections. At the time of publishing, Omega has 789 watches listed on its official website; that’s an enormous amount to comb through to find the right watch. Perhaps the Swiss watchmaking powerhouse should consider culling its catalog to make it easier for shoppers to navigate.
However, Omega is ranked third among the top ten luxury watch brands (no small feat!), so maybe it should just continue doing what it’s doing and unleash even more watches for us to enjoy.
