The Reverso Tribute series, launched in 2016, was introduced to honor the 85th anniversary of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s iconic Reverso, a timepiece famous for its rectangular, swiveling case and said to have been developed for polo players. As with previous models, these new entries stick to the same timeless aesthetic cues: Dauphine hands, trapezoidal markers, and the signature rail-track minute layout. While the Reverso’s origins are rooted in the rough and tumble sport of polo, today’s models are certainly regarded as dress watches rather than sports watches.

Reverso Tribute Monoface

The first of the new models is the Reverso Tribute Monoface, now offered in a more compact size. Measuring 40.1mm long, 24.4mm wide, and 7.56mm thick, it’s a downsized version of already existing Reverso Tribute Monoface watches — and closer in size to the original 1931 Reverso. Available in stainless steel, Jaeger-LeCoultre offers two dial options: a striking blue sunray lacquer or a subtle silver opaline. Since these are Monoface watches, the reverse side of the case remains blank, offering space for personal engravings or custom lacquer designs.

The Monoface models are powered by the manually-wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 822, providing a 42-hour power reserve. Both dial versions are paired with elegant Casa Fagliano straps — tan for the silver dial and blue for the blue dial — that mix smooth calfskin and saffiano calfskin for textural interest. Additionally, the interchangeable strap system allows for easy customization with alternative straps.

Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds

Next in the new line of Jaeger-LeCoultre watches is the Reverso Tribute Duoface Small Seconds, now presented in pink gold. To be clear, this is the same watch as before but in a new material. This 47mm by 28.3mm watch maintains its traditional proportions with a slim profile of 9.6mm. The front (“recto dial” in JLC-speak) features a rich dark blue lacquer dial, which has been painstakingly crafted with 20 layers of lacquer, displaying the time along with a small seconds subdial.

Swivel the case over and the second dial reveals a silver sunray finish indicating a second time zone, complete with a 24-hour subdial. The adjustment for the second time zone is cleverly hidden within a discreet slider on the side of the case, ensuring the smooth lines of the case are not disturbed. This model is driven by the manually-wound Caliber 854, offering 42 hours of power reserve.

Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon

Rounding out the new releases is the Reverso Tribute Duoface Tourbillon, which is now available in stainless steel. Again, same watch new material. Previously seen in platinum and pink gold, the tourbillon model finally gets a more durable twist in this steel version. The tourbillon mechanism is visible on both dials, yet each presents a different visual experience. The front side offers a clean grey sunray dial showing the local time and an exposed flying tourbillon, enhanced by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s innovative S-shaped hairspring and a lack of an outer tourbillon cage.

The other dial (“verso dial” in JLC-speak) reveals a more intricate design, with a Clous de Paris guilloché pattern, a skeletonized bridge over the tourbillon, and a second time zone display. The upper right corner also features a day/night indicator, with a red arrow pointing to a rotating sun-and-moon disk. This complicated Reverso is powered by the hand-wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 847, offering a 38-hour power reserve.
